Traditional Art Tools:

While I am mainly a digital artist, I occasionally do some traditional work! Since I’m not very serious about it, I’ll casually mention my favorite traditional art supplies and tools! When it comes to paper, I really like Strathmore papers for finished works, especially their 300 series Bristol paper and 400 series Sketch and Watercolor papers! For sketches I mainly use International Paper Hammermill 80lb. Premium Color Copy Paper. It is nice and thick and is a joy to sketch on with pencils! For pencils I use a mix of Pentel Graphgear 1000 mechanical pencils in .3 .5 and .7, with 2b or HB lead; Dixon Ticonderoga; or Prismacolor Ebony jet black pencils. For inks I prefer actual G-Pen nibs with Speedball India Ink or Copic Multiliners. For colors, I don’t use much besides a set of Winsor&Newton lower-range watercolors with Pentel water brushes. But I also have a set of grey Copic markers that are fun to use!

My art tools

I’ve always been a fan of technology, especially computers. One of the main reasons I got into art in the first place was my interest in the digital side of artwork production!

A lot has changed since I bought my first drawing tablet and a copy of Manga Studio 5! My tools have expanded alongside my skills throughout the years, and my interest in digital art has informed most of my tech purchasing decisions. Today I am very happy and comfortable with my current workspace, and don’t see it changing too much in the coming years (aside maybe tablet upgrades :P )
